First of all - do not read the other story game as it will make this game less effective.
This is how the game works: I am just going to share a story with you. However, I am only going to tell it by answering yes or no to questions asked to me. I will not be using any visuals to start the game this time - we're starting with a blank page.
So - ask away - but remember to form your questions in a way that I can asnwer yes or no. And, remember to find the story - where it starts, what happens and how it ends.
Good Luck!
Here we go.

Tue, November 1, 2005 - 3:59 PM"Is it a thriller?" - going to give that one a "maybe" just because I think people might have their own definitions of "thriller." One of my writing teachers in college once told me "All movies are a detective story." It was an entire lecture and it made perfect sense.

Re: The Story Game 2 - So Far....
Fri, November 4, 2005 - 1:24 AMWe have a non-dark film which takes place neither in the present nor in the past where no one is murdered. It's not a time of war and there are more than one species introduced in the film. It's about a man without a dog who has a romantic relationship with a woman who ends up causing his death (but not while he tires to save her and not by "murder" - so not intentionally).

-
Re: The Story Game 2 - So Far....
Sat, November 5, 2005 - 2:05 PMEarlier you state that no one is murdered in this story so I am assuming that the protagonist either died from natural causes, an illness or was killed in an accident. Is this a correct assumption? -

Re: The Story Game 2 - So Far....
Sat, November 5, 2005 - 2:45 PMLet's put it this way. The protagonist is not killed by the conscious intention of someone else and that your assumption is correct and that it is not suicide. -

Re: The Story Game 2 - So Far....
Mon, November 7, 2005 - 12:40 PMPerhaps the missing picture has play a negative role for me. I don't know, maybe the genre. But, don't stop, I want to see where this goes. It is more difficult than the last game. Agree? -
-
Re: The Story Game 2 - So Far....
Mon, November 7, 2005 - 2:08 PMI have to give that a maybe, CT, it's.... nah, just kidding.
I was curious what the subtraction of the picture would do. Normally when I play this (not on tribe) you don't use a picture - however, you're there in person and the questions come really quickly.
It's always different. Right now we're sort of stuck at the ending which makes finding the story a little difficult I think. We've established there is a protagonist and an antagonist... but we don't really know what the conflict is or what the protagonist wants. -
-
Re: The Story Game 2 - So Far....
Mon, November 7, 2005 - 2:12 PMIt's a choice between wanting one to live or not to live I suppose, at worst maybe not caring if one dies or why one dies, but then we have no story. So, we need more than death to be a conflict as death is a final solution in one respect. Hah I ramble. I'll be back later. -
